Nordic Image

Stretched the lonely forlorn road
Ways entangled within woods
Ancient cold and frostbite lingers
Somewhere calls a sprite forgotten

Lights that green along a sky
So vast the heart must feeble keen
Nowhere ice like this remains
Such isolated bliss unseen

Tales and pagan ways are smitten
Forces of the otherworld
The myriads and dazzling beings
Still entice by stagnant pools.

The Garden

Restricted to the garden
We willingly remain.
Our love is pure and ardent,
From evil we refrain.

Evicted from the garden
We sought to find a way.
Our souls must even harden
Or we would go astray.

We gathered flowers in the rain,
Dreamt up loving things to say
That would soothe our mortal pain,
And return us to our play.

In the sky appeared an eye,
Smiled down upon our lives.
And whenever we would cry,
Remember something pure survives.

As love hurt and Spring returned
We lived the lessons life had learned.

Dream Song

You made the world appear a dream,
In which the word was love.
We rode upon a starlit beam
Towards the moon above.

We played within the tranquil sea;
A shallowness of wonder.
We blessed our serendipity
Of meeting somewhere yonder.

This night was fashioned from the past;
All mixed up old emotions.
Our fine escape could never last,
We’d feed on higher notions.

I brought you with me, to my heart
Where we would never be apart.

Ode to a Lady

My lady is a timid rose,
So sweet and strong and free.
She offers me sublime repose;
Returns my soul to me.

A fragrance that denotes so much
Softly comes my way.
She never uses words as such,
We sense; no need to say -

- to what degree we are entangled,
Vines along one stem.
Once held notions have been angled,
We vow to not condemn.

Her garden is my sphere of love,
A refuge from all gloom.
Scarlet petals rain from above
And kiss my former doom.
Serenade

I gaze upon thine inner face;
A world of love-bound glee.
I tremble as my steps retrace
And fingers touch thy knee.

Thy treasures are a myriad
Of pleasures quite astounding.
Our labyrinthal Illiad
With lust and love abounding.

We approach each other quietly,
The night shades us from harm.
I caress thy tresses piously
And raise thy soft alarm.

Those lips were soaked in honey-wine,
Mellow fingers linger long.
Kisses placed; a coded sign,
My buoyancy grows strong.

Invited to thy warmest embrace
We shiver a quiver divine.
Our rhythms quicken, then retrace
And glide along the spine.

Thoughts collide, turn inside out,
Worlds stretch while stars ignite.
Our bodies prove to be devout,
Exchanging liquid pearls of light.

Later, as the twilight groans,
We willingly surrender.
I watch her as her dreaming moans,
Vow always to defend her.

Clarity's Charm

Love; that highest star ignited,
Coveted prize and jewel unblemished.
Rest my heart now it be requited
And fill my soul too long cold and famished.

Hope; the strength to look beyond
The truth of all things silence-bound.
As ever the mortal remains as fond
Of what endures and has been found.

Faith; the Voice that guides me near,
Leads away from hurt and lies.
Relinquishes my smouldering fear,
Smiles at Pride who still defies.

Lessons are learned at the cost of mistakes,
Love lends a hand when my will power breaks.

The Tide

We should be without a trace
In some exotic timid place
Where memories won't grow to haunt
And daily dismal thoughts can't taunt

Surrounded by a dream of sleep
In which I'll fight the night to keep ~
You safe within a sphere of light
To see a new day dawn's delight

To celebrate the evening's peace
And huddle underneath that fleece
That ever was from times long past
Please sit with me, this hour won't last.

Serpentine

Moved with feline grace
delirious and free
Found another love-pace
and made her way to me..

She danced like dreams of sunlight
floating on her smile
With me her watching love-sprite
she desired to beguile..

Passion's rule stretched into night
darkness, sighs of bliss
Her eyes were dressed in moonlight
sweet Goddess with a kiss...

Alarm

Feel the morning waking up
gently flowers whisper
dreams still wrapped around a fuzzy smile
fountain trickles down

Smell the fragrance of this life
time blows like the wind
curtains opened with a joke
left lying around for recycled use

Hear what Springtime has to say
rejuvenate, ameliorate
dream and skip and run and play
to keep on living proves your fate.

Storage

Crept into your living life
dawn made rings of gold
leaves blown into cold bedrooms
slept late into the afterthought

Kept a memory of glee
bound for unforgiving
trees dismembered by the rain
stepped onto a moving platform

Leapt over my former me
glowing lights turn green
slowly momentary wheels
pick up speed and turn around.

Sound

Melody fashioned from Spring's fresh tones
Bird-like whispers reached my ear
Rounded like pebbles, ancient stones
Detached me from my long-held fear.

Sweetness played with my mind
Orchestral smiles pervade
Slow string movements would always find
That quiet part of me; the shade.

Maze

Mere dream surrounds the fabric of time
Prudent persuasion of a chimera's shimmer,
Softly we drift on waves of contentment
While outside the moon; making her merry rounds

Night lights twinkle and dangle up high
Skies re-appear from lingering aeons,
World is a toy children keep tampering with
Sleep comes to soothe my sensitive mind

Dawn like a milk float turns another corner
Yawning I take in the fresh new-born light,
Still haven't used up my quota of days
Life is a glorious, wonderful maze.

Grieving winter thieves surround
the darling buds that sway
eager sprouts that seem so green
one wonders if there's ever been
a time of mirth and wonder.

Stealing moments of your time
I feel the need to hide
seek the ways to start to climb
that sacred hill; confide.

Weaving garlands, happily
maidens dance around the pole
every smile quite cheerfully
sings of sun and woods of glee.

I match the sky with light-blue sighs,
thoughts that whistle with the wind.
I hear the seagulls' eerie cries,
turn to memory; awkward, kind.

I walk the plank with head held high,
waters ripple deep below.
Angels whisk me up to fly,
whereto I can't know..

Self, unravelled willingly,
trees and stone erections stare
through firmish forests of self-doubt,
outwardly content to remain kind and thoughful,
the centre revolved around a fragile vortex.
Fatefully reclined lie dreams of realisation,
equate the ebb and flow of life with love;
its forever changing cycles, moods turned
inside and out; staring, gazing at what the world's become,
hum of vacant gossip, served up as mindless entertainment.
Deliriously happy. Times move along like willing ancient friends,
always there with me, along the way, the ups and downs,
smiles and frowns. And ever ready for gentle repartee.

Dreams seem seamless tenuous bounderies
between you and I, skies and oceans below
knowing and feeling, sharing, caring and taking charge
of what-I-do-not-know..

Trail

Sleep keeps you and I in love
Mystic garlands weave above
Daylight dreams and lust-filled sighs
Silken smooth; these passion cries.

Dawn approaches with a smile
These rays sure have their own cool style
Clouds of white to accentuate
The break of day is never late.

Afternoon, the world works on
Fresh the window winds flow in
Our thoughts are back in Babylon
A hanging garden to grow in.

One for one, the words unravel
Single phonemes left to ponder
My soul and your heart set out to travel
Discover our own world of wonder.

Stark are the warnings they write in the sand
the ominous waves that roll over this land.
Dreams may unfold in a wink of an eye,
silver the vultures that soar in the sky.
Long lines of soldiers; their hands in the air
foul is the stench and nothing seems fair.
Robust metal engines move over the plains
impoverished farm hands cry out for the rains.
The push of the button, the scan on the screen
technology whispers, the agony's scene.
Wise men who lament the loss of the right
innocense screams to the heavens tonight..

Gargantuan dreams reap silent promise
susceptible recepticle of unquenched longing
surviving a life unfit for a king
bird song and eventide, ominous sting
fervently moving the waves up and down
sand dunes and water, embracing a frown
nothing moves, no thing remains still
undressed are the ages, persist though I will.

Political correctness is an insult to minorities...
