Kokoda, that infamous name once again holds sadness for Australians. Nine Aussies were killed when an aircraft crashed in dense jungle in Papua New Guinea. The plane was on its way to Kokoda and the people on board were planning to walk the gruelling track made notorious by the fighting in WWWII when Aussie forces were up against the might of Imperial Japan.
